Taco Seasoning Recipe

homemade taco seasoning recipe mexican

Taco seasoning packets are processed and loaded with ingredients that you do not want in your body. Making your own seasoning is so easy, and you probably have all of the ingredients in your spice cabinet already. Do not worry about exact measurements here, taste and adjust as you go.

If you would prefer to still buy pre made seasoning, I found this one here (for popcorn) that would work perfectly.

•  1 tsp salt (I prefer a healthy Pink Himalayan salt for the health benefits)
•  1 tsp black pepper
•  2 tbsp chili powder
•  1 tbsp cumin
•  1 tsp garlic powder
•  1 tsp onion powder

Mix all ingredients together and add as needed to your next mexican dish or taco recipe. This makes enough for a standard 20 oz package of ground beef, turkey, or meat of choice. Make a large batch of this taco seasoning and store extra in an airtight container or spice jar to have on hand.
