Shrimp & Broccoli Pasta in a Buttery Lemon Sauce Recipe

shrimp pasta broccoli herbs lemon dinner idea

  1. This savory and lemony flavored shrimp pasta dinner is as easy as it gets. It takes literally five minutes to prep, aside from pasta cooking time.
  2. Have your broccoli, garlic and herbs chopped and ready as the shrimp will cook fast. Cook pasta of choice in salted water.
  3. Chop up 1-2 cloves of garlic, a handful of herbs (I chose chives and green onion), broccoli or other vegetable of choice.
  4. Get lemons ready by washing first (always wash all fruits and produce, even if it has a peel, and especially if zesting as you never know where it has been.) I also use the juices of the lemons at the very end of cooking, so at this time I rolled them a bit beneath my hands to release the juices so that once cut, the juice comes out easily.
  5. Heat pan to medium (not too high or garlic will burn), add butter or olive oil, broccoli, and garlic, Pink Himalayan salt and pepper.
  6. Saute for about two to five minutes, and be sure to avoid garlic turning brown.
  7. Move broccoli to sides of pan to make room for the shrimp, then add in the shrimp and herbs. Shrimp cooks in two minutes, so stay on top of it, flipping once.
  8. As shrimp is cooking, zest two lemons right on top, then cut and squeeze out the juices.
  9. Once the shrimp is white/pink and loses its translucent color, take pan off the heat.
  10. Drain the pasta, then add to the pan.
  11. Stir it all together, plate, optional to top with your favorite cheese, pour yourself a glass of chilled white wine and enjoy!
