10 EASY WAYS TO IMPROVE YOUR HEALTH

If you are thinking of eating healthier, make changes that you can manage, making them part of a lifestyle. Going extreme or eliminating things completely (unless you have no choice) is usually going to backfire. Allow balance!
10 EASY WAYS TO IMPROVE YOUR HEALTH
1. One less cup of coffee. Replace with caffeinated white, green, or maté tea. Or, choose an herbal caffeine-free tea.
2. Bake desserts instead of buying them and keep snacks real, whole food based. Think nuts/seeds, veggies with dip, Peanut butter on apples, a healthy tortilla chip with salsa, or cheese with a healthy cracker.
3. Use coconut oil instead of canola or vegetable oil.
4. Eat one salad a day (try making your own dressing).
5. Drink one green smoothie a day (frozen spinach with banana and/or frozen fruit and NO juice).
6. Read labels! Make this a habit and choose the product with the fewest ingredients. Stay clear of artificial colors, sweeteners, flavors, partially hydrogenated oils, monosodium glutamate, high fructose corn syrup. Try avoiding just one of these if this is new to you.
7. Stretch and walk.
8. Use raw honey instead of white sugar. Full of nutrition!
9. Drink enough water!
10. Skip the gatorade, juice, soda, bottled drinks. There are some decent options out there, but most of these drinks are absolutely useless as far as being beneficial to your health goes, not to mention hurting your weight loss efforts with empty calories.
BONUS TIP: If you like skim milk, save yourself some money and buy whole milk, then dilute with water in a clean, spare container (make sure it is COLD water). It is much better for you than fat-free or low-fat milk from the store.
